About Brianne
Brianne Ely works in the firm's Intellectual Property, Information + Privacy, and Corporate/Commercial groups. She advises clients on website terms of use, commercial agreements, financing, corporate reorganizations, and buying and selling businesses, along with regulatory compliance matters, especially for insurance-sector clients. Privacy law is a particular interest of hers; she counsels organizations on data protection under federal and British Columbia privacy legislation and drafts privacy policies, consent forms, and related contract language. She is working toward a Certified Information and Privacy Professional credential and, being fully bilingual, serves clients in both French and English. Earlier in her career she held roles with the Correctional Service of Canada, the Competition Bureau, the Canada Revenue Agency, and an insurance management company.
