About David

David Macaulay heads Bennett Jones LLP's Power & Renewable Energy Services group and represents clients on energy infrastructure projects in Canada and internationally. His practice covers power projects across fuel types including solar, biomass, natural gas, hydro, wind, and battery storage, as well as pipelines, gas storage caverns, carbon capture, and clean fuels like hydrogen. He also advises on co-ownership structures involving Indigenous groups. David has held leading counsel roles on major Canadian infrastructure projects, including the Mackenzie Valley Pipeline and the Terra Nova and Sable Island offshore projects, and he has worked on M&A and project development in the United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, and South America.
