About Brendan

Brendan Gemmell joined RLR Lawyers in June 2022 and primarily practises family law, with experience in the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. Born and raised in Winnipeg, he completed a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in History and a Master of Arts in History at Dalhousie University, receiving a SSHRC Joseph-Armand Bombardier scholarship during his graduate studies. He attended law school at the University of Alberta, then articled and worked as an associate at a small Nanaimo firm focused on family law before joining RLR, and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2021.
