About Dean
Dean Oliphant obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics and his law degree from the University of Victoria, graduating from UVic Law School in December 1992. He moved to Nanaimo for his articles and was called to the BC Bar in February 1994. He has practised primarily in family law throughout his career, appearing before all levels of court in BC, including many trials and hearings in the Supreme Court and Provincial Court, as well as before administrative tribunals. He completed his mediation training to become a Certified Family Law Mediator in 2017 and believes mediation can offer satisfying results in appropriate family law disputes.
