David Markowitz concentrates on commercial real estate, regularly acting for chartered banks, trust companies, credit unions and other lenders on financing deals that include condominium and subdivision servicing loans, construction financing, and acquisition or take-out financing for apartment buildings, office towers, hotels and plazas. He also advises builders, developers, private investors and businesses on buying and selling land and commercial property, leasing arrangements and general corporate-commercial matters. He has appeared before the Committee of Adjustment and at all court levels in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal. He attended McMaster University on an academic scholarship, graduating on the Dean's Honour List in 2001, then earned his LLB from the University of Windsor in 2004 and was called to the bar in 2005. He joined the firm in 2012 and became a partner in 2017.
