About Ashley

Ashley Fouad graduated from Robson Hall in 2023 and articled in criminal and immigration/refugee law before joining WRRW. She defends clients against drug offences, firearms charges, Charter applications, and organized-crime related prosecutions, and her Charter work has led to stays of proceedings. Fouad represents clients across Manitoba, including both adult and youth cases under the Criminal Code, the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and the Highway Traffic Act. She volunteered and externed with Legal Aid Manitoba and the University of Manitoba Community Law Centre, represented the university at the 2023 MacIntyre Cup Trial Advocacy Moot in Calgary, and was awarded the Randy Minuk Prize in Criminal Law.
