About Evan

Evan Roitenberg has practised criminal defence law since 1992 and is one of the four lawyers who joined together to form WRRW, formerly of Gindin Wolson Simmonds Roitenberg. Over three decades he has handled high-profile cases including murder, inter-provincial drug conspiracies, and complex frauds, appearing in Manitoba, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and before the Supreme Court of Canada. He frequently lectures to law students, lawyers, and judges, often on cross-examination, and has served as Manitoba's representative to the Canadian Council of Criminal Defence Lawyers and as president of the Criminal Defence Lawyers Association of Manitoba. Roitenberg was appointed King's Counsel and was named Lawyer of the Year in Criminal Defence by Best Lawyers in Canada for 2022 and 2025.
