He frequently lectures to law students, lawyers, and judges, often on cross-examination, and has served as Manitoba's representative to the Canadian Council of Criminal Defence Lawyers and as president of the Criminal Defence Lawyers Association of Manitoba. Roitenberg was appointed King's Counsel and was named Lawyer of the Year in Criminal Defence by Best Lawyers in Canada for 2022 and 2025.
