About Gordon

Gordon J. Weir concentrates his practice on labour relations and employment law, advising companies, public sector employers, managers, and executives in both consulting and legal capacities. His work spans terminations of managerial and executive staff, severance strategy tied to reorganizations and mergers, negotiation of collective agreements and employment contracts, and representation in wrongful dismissal litigation and mediation. He appears before boards of arbitration and provincial tribunals, including employment standards referees, human rights boards, occupational health and safety adjudicators, and pay equity tribunals. Gordon earned his BA and LLB from Queen's University and an MA from the University of Toronto, and he has lectured at universities and colleges while authoring papers on topics such as wrongful dismissal trends and discipline procedures.
