About Brian
Brian K. Dell has retired from the full-time practice of law after 23 years of work in administrative law and taxation. His practice focused on administrative law, municipal law, commercial property tax, civil litigation, real property law, commercial landlord/tenant matters, wrongful dismissal, and building and construction law, and he appeared at all levels of property assessment tribunals in Alberta, the Court of Queen's Bench, and the Court of Appeal, as well as in property tax hearings in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Brian is a regular contributor to and past editor of Communication Update, a bi-monthly publication on property assessment and taxation, and authored an article in the Journal of Property Tax Management. He earned his LLB from the University of Calgary in 1999 and was called to the Alberta bar in 2000. He is Past President of the Calgary Scope Society, a non-profit supporting people with disabilities, and Current President of the Canadian Property Tax Association.
