About Andrew

Andrew Lister is the managing partner of Lister-Beaupré, which he founded as Lister & Associates in 2009 after working at law firms in Toronto and Ottawa. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1994 and to the Northwest Territories bar in 2018, and represents governments, financial institutions, and unions before provincial and federal courts and tribunals. He has taught employment law at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law since 2007 and has served on several charitable boards. He holds an LL.B. and B.C.L. from McGill University (1993), an LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science (1992), and a B.A. (Honours in French and History) from Dalhousie University (1986), and is fluently bilingual, regularly representing clients in French.
