About Jamie

Jamie Schmidt is a junior associate at Lister-Beaupré, practicing civil litigation, employment and labour law, and human rights matters. Originally from Niagara, Ontario, she completed a combined Juris Doctor and Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences (specializing in Political Science) program in Ottawa. She volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada on disability rights issues, completed her articles at a large Ottawa firm in 2025, and then joined Lister-Beaupré to pursue employment law; her page lists her call to the Ontario bar as anticipated for June 2025. She belongs to the County of Carleton Law Association and l'Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario, and is fluent in French and English.
