About Jean-Nicolas

Jean-Nicolas Delage practises as a partner in Osler's Montreal office, within the Emerging and High Growth Companies Group. His work centers on intellectual property strategy and related transactions for companies in the emerging and high-growth sector. Delage counsels clients on intellectual property matters that arise from the standardization process and contributes to shaping IP strategy for research consortiums made up of businesses, universities and research centres. He has particular experience putting patent pools in place once new industry standards are adopted by standard-setting bodies, and advises on FRAND licensing and other IP questions tied to standardization. Before joining Osler, Delage co-led an emerging and high-growth companies practice at another large Canadian law firm.
