About Amina

Amina Joober's practice at Goldwater Droit is anchored in youth protection and family law. She appears regularly before the Superior Court and the Youth Division of the Court of Québec on high-conflict matters, including contests of protection measures and disputes over party status where a child's expressed preferences must be weighed against parental capacity. Her family law work includes contested custody and divorce cases involving disputed financial disclosures, international child-travel applications, school-choice disputes and name-change authorizations, and she has responded to grandparents seeking court-ordered access. Joober joined the firm in 2023 after practising at several mid-sized and national firms. She earned a BFA from Concordia University before completing her LL.B. at the Université de Montréal in 2015, where she was a founding member of the Comité Femmes et Droit, and was called to the Quebec Bar in 2017. She works in French, English and some Arabic dialects.
