About Charlotte

Charlotte Roy practises across the full range of family law matters at Goldwater Droit, including divorce, custody, support, the partition of assets and youth protection. She has secured comprehensive divorce judgments addressing spousal and child support and the division of family assets, and has obtained safeguard orders, including a forced judicial sale to protect a client from mortgage default after separation. Domestic violence cases are a particular focus of her practice; many clients seek her out for that reason. Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2019, Roy joined Goldwater Droit after nearly five years building a family law practice elsewhere, including a managerial role. She earned her LL.B. from UQAM in 2018, articled at the Commission des droits de la personne, and volunteers as a family law lawyer with the YWCA Montreal. She works in French and English.
