About Alexis

Alexis Ohms practices primarily in family law, including negotiation and litigation, collaborative family law, separation and cohabitation agreements, adoption, and guardianship, and also assists clients with wills and estate administration. Her background in criminal defence informs her family law practice, and she works with clients to find practical, cost-effective resolutions, whether through negotiated agreement or litigation when a matter calls for it. Ohms was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2023 after earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba in 2022 and a Bachelor of Arts in criminology, along with a Certificate of Legal Studies, from Simon Fraser University in 2019. She completed Collaborative Family Practice training in 2024 and volunteers with the Legal Help Centre and Community Legal Education Association.
