About Alison
Alison Bennet has practiced family law for more than 30 years, representing clients in negotiation, litigation, guardianship matters, agreement drafting, intimate partner violence cases, and appeals before all levels of the Manitoba courts, including the Manitoba Court of Appeal. She takes a practical, solution-oriented approach, working to empower clients to make informed decisions while keeping their family's future in focus. Bennet was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1996 after earning her Bachelor of Law from the University of Manitoba in 1995, on the Dean's Honour List, and her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and criminology from the University of Manitoba in 1992. She is active with the Canadian Bar Association and Manitoba Bar Association, including its Family Law, Women Lawyers, and Small, Solo and General Practice subsections, and has volunteered with the Legal Help Centre and as a moot court judge at the University of Manitoba.
