About Alexander
Alexander (Sandy) Watt practised criminal law in Kamloops for more than 30 years, representing clients at every level of court up to the Supreme Court of Canada, and was called to the bar in 1976. He served as a bencher on the Law Society of B.C. from 1992 to 1994, as a past president of the Kamloops Bar Association, and as lead counsel on more than 30 murder trials as well as many other criminal matters. He argued the precedent-setting case Regina v. Beatty before the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also served the Kamloops community through roles including the Kamloops Arts Commission, the Kamloops Art Gallery board, and helping develop the Tournament Capital Centre.
