Paul Doroshenko, K.C. is the founder and principal lawyer at Acumen Law Corporation, founded in 2008. Doroshenko practises criminal defence and driving law, with a particular focus on DUI and impaired driving cases, and has been a vocal critic of British Columbia's Immediate Roadside Prohibition regime. Doroshenko was called to the Bar of British Columbia in May 2000 and has defended more than 10,000 cases across the province, several of which have set legal precedents. Doroshenko holds a BA in History from the University of Alberta (1996) and an LL.B. (1999), and has completed police-standard training in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and Drug Recognition Evaluation under NHTSA guidelines. Doroshenko is a board member of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, an active member of the National College for DUI Defense and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and belongs to the California DUI Lawyers Association and the Trial Lawyers Association of BC. Doroshenko has been appointed King's Counsel.
