About John

John P. Gustafson has practised criminal defence law in Kamloops for more than 20 years, having been called to the bar of British Columbia in 2003. He has been lead or sole counsel on more than 15 homicide allegations, successfully defending clients charged with first and second degree murder and manslaughter, and has defended hundreds of people accused of domestic assault. His practice also covers drug and firearms offences, often involving questions about the legality of a search, as well as theft, fraud and driving offences. He previously acted for clients across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Yukon, and now practises exclusively in the Kamloops area.
