Insurance LawAlexander Sculthorpe joined Branch MacMaster in August 2024 as a litigation associate, focusing on litigation, class actions, and insurance. Before joining the firm, he spent seven years at the New York office of a leading international law firm working on large, complex commercial litigation. During his integrated BCL/LLB studies at McGill University's Faculty of Law, Alexander did legal research for the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations and Harvard's Berkman Center, and worked as a legal clinic student with PINAY Quebec. He earned his BCL/LLB from McGill (2012-2015, Dean's Honour List), an MA in International Affairs from Carleton University's Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (2009-2011), and an Honours BA in Political Studies (Psychology) from Queen's University (2004-2008, graduated with Distinction), and was called to the Ontario bar in 2017, the New York bar in 2016, and the British Columbia bar in 2024.
