About Craig

Craig Jones is associate counsel with Branch MacMaster LLP, with a litigation and consultation practice focused on public law and class actions. He authored Theory of Class Actions, a leading text in the field, and has appeared as counsel in significant constitutional cases, public inquiries, and judicial reviews, including as lead counsel for the Attorney General of BC in the Polygamy Reference and the Insite Safe Injection Site appeals. Before joining Branch MacMaster, Craig was Supervising Counsel of the Constitutional and Administrative Law Group in the BC Ministry of Justice and a partner at Bull, Housser & Tupper, and from 2022 to 2026 served as General Counsel to the Premier of British Columbia. He holds a tenured faculty position at Thompson Rivers University teaching torts, constitutional law, and First Nations constitutional history. Craig earned an LLM from Harvard Law School in 2002, an LLB from UBC in 1998, and a BGS from Thompson Rivers University in 1997, and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2011.
