About Abigail

Abigail Herrington is a lawyer in McInnes Cooper's Saint John office, with a practice focused on dispute resolution, regulatory and administrative law, primarily in labour, employment and energy. She has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in New Brunswick and regularly advises employers on wrongful dismissals, human rights obligations, workplace harassment investigations and employment contracts, as well as defending wrongful dismissal lawsuits and human rights complaints. She frequently appears before the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board and advises on regulatory matters spanning electricity, renewable energy, natural gas and petroleum pricing legislation, along with environmental permitting and licensing. Before joining McInnes Cooper, she practised litigation for four years at a mid-sized firm and worked at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Abigail earned her J.D. from the University of Toronto, where she received the Goodmans Prize and the McRuer Scholarship for Administrative Law, and was called to the New Brunswick bar in 2020.
