About Frederick

Frederick McElman is Counsel, called to the New Brunswick bar in 1978. He works with government and quasi-government bodies, professional associations, boards of directors, and construction firms, and has obtained the largest costs award in a New Brunswick trial decision for a client in a major construction case. McElman has drafted and guided private acts through the legislative process for ten professional associations and served as counsel to receivers and trustees on significant insolvency matters. He holds an LL.M. from Harvard University and an LL.B. and B.B.A. from the University of New Brunswick, was named King's Counsel in 2006, and is a Member of the Order of Canada.
