Zach Parrott is a commercial and civil litigator who has represented businesses and individuals in disputes over shareholder rights, contracts, oppressive corporate conduct, regulatory issues, employment, and defamation. Prior to clerking, he spent a summer with the enforcement division of the Ontario Securities Commission, volunteered with several community legal clinics, and appeared for clients in the Ontario Court of Justice through Downtown Legal Services' criminal law division; he also served on the senior board of the Faculty of Law Review at the University of Toronto. He holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto, a Master of Arts in Canadian Studies and Indigenous Studies from Trent University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Western University, with a Major in French and an Honours Specialization in History, and was previously employed as a writer, editor, and cultural programmer before law school. In his free time he enjoys cycling, board games, and DIY projects.
