About Yael
Yael Bienenstock brings a scientific background to her litigation work, which centers on disputes involving intellectual property and patents, along with public law and project-related matters. She has argued cases before several appellate courts, among them the Federal Court of Appeal, Ontario's Court of Appeal, and Canada's Supreme Court. Her clients come from the life sciences, medical device, and health care sectors, along with the transportation, energy, and infrastructure fields. Bienenstock has handled patent litigation pursuant to the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations, together with related regulatory matters for drug products sold by pharmaceutical companies in North America. She belongs to Torys' Appellate Practice, the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada's Forums and Seminars Committee, the Advocates' Society, and the Canadian Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section.
