About William

William T. Cahill is a partner in Cox & Palmer's St. John's office, called to the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in 2008. He earned his law degree from Dalhousie University, including a specialization certificate in marine law, and later completed a certificate in mining law at Osgoode Hall Law School. His practice covers mining law, corporate finance, commercial real estate, and marine law, advising mining companies, financial institutions, and vessel owners on transactions and financing. He has been recognized in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and The Best Lawyers in Canada for his work in banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and mining law. William is active in the Canadian Bar Association's Maritime Law Section and has served as a director of Mining Industry NL. He also volunteers with St. John Ambulance Newfoundland and Labrador and the Air Cadet League of Canada.
