About William

William Foster is an associate in the Intellectual Property Group in the Toronto office. His practice focuses on enforcing intellectual property rights, particularly in patent, trademark, and copyright litigation before the Federal and Ontario Courts. He also advises on pharmaceutical regulatory matters including patent listing, data protection, and certificates of supplementary protection. He holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he was the inaugural recipient of the David Vaver Medal for Excellence in Intellectual Property, and an MSc in cellular and molecular medicine from the University of Ottawa.
