About Wana

Wana Wafa articled with Bernard LLP and joined as an Associate in September 2023, practising primarily as a civil litigator with senior lawyers. She was previously a paralegal at the firm, bringing procedural experience to her legal practice. She obtained her Certificate of Qualification in Law after an LLB Senior Status degree, with first-class standing, from the University of Leicester in the UK, then an LLM in common law from UBC. She was part of the Canadian Law Society and a pro bono project educating children about the law during her studies, was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2023, and speaks Dari and German.
