Tushar Anandasagar is a partner at Gowling WLG in the Waterloo Region, and every client sits on the management side of the table. Private companies and public sector organizations both bring Anandasagar their people problems, whether a union is organizing, a collective agreement needs bargaining, or a dismissal, grievance or accommodation question has turned into a dispute.

Much of this work ends up in a hearing room. Anandasagar appears in Ontario's civil and quasi-criminal courts and before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Workplace Safety & Insurance Appeals Tribunal, as well as in front of private arbitrators. The partner was called to the Ontario bar in 2015, a year after finishing a JD at Queen's University.

Workplace safety on construction projects is a recurring theme. Together with partner Sahil Shoor, Anandasagar has written about how Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act reaches project owners, including a 2023 look at the Supreme Court of Canada's split decision in R v. Greater Sudbury. In 2025, Anandasagar was among the speakers on a webinar about where that case, now that the last rulings are in, leaves owners, constructors and employers. In 2026, senior leadership was in the spotlight, as Anandasagar and Cédric Marsan-Lafond took employers through what to do when a C-suite executive is accused of misconduct.

Anandasagar is a regular guest speaker at conferences and continuing education seminars, and also turns up in media segments on labour and employment issues. In client work, Anandasagar aims for practical, focused advice that weighs the legal, social and economic forces shaping today's workplace.
