About Trevor

Trevor Martin is a partner at Martland & Saulnier, focusing on criminal defence with additional work in quasi-criminal and administrative law, including police discipline and misconduct proceedings. He has argued cases at every level of court in British Columbia and at the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as in Federal Court and the Nunavut Court of Justice, and is occasionally retained by the BC Prosecution Service as an ad hoc prosecutor. He holds a BA (Hon.) from Queen's University and a JD from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law, clerked at the BC Supreme Court, and practiced with the Department of Justice Canada's BC regional office before joining the firm. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Criminal Defence Advocacy Society and has volunteered with the UBC Innocence Project and Access Pro Bono.
