About Tony

Tony Paciocco is a Partner at Edelson Foord Law whose practice focuses on criminal and regulatory litigation, appearing regularly before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, and as counsel before the Court of Appeal for Ontario. He has particular expertise in challenging search warrants, navigating sexual offence law, and using the Charter to his clients' benefit at trial, including the exclusion of breath samples in drinking and driving cases. He completed a BA with distinction at McGill University and his J.D. at Queen's University, where he won the Queen's Law Prize in Advanced Criminal Law and the Dean's Bronze Scholar Award (2013-2014). He was later an adjunct professor at Queen's University Faculty of Law, teaching Criminal Trial Advocacy from 2019 to 2022, and is a frequent lecturer at continuing professional development courses on topics including cannabis legislation and sexual offence law reform. In 2023 he received the Dan Soberman Young Alumni Award from Queen's Law, and in 2024 he was named to the Forty Under 40 in Canada's National Capital Region.
