About Tom
Tom Gilmour is developing a broad civil litigation and public law practice at Gudmundseth Mickelson, which he joined after clerking for five justices of the Supreme Court of British Columbia. This followed his LLM research at the University of British Columbia, where he studied the intersection of Canadian environmental and international law and published on access to environmental justice in Canadian environmental assessment. Tom attended law school at the University of New South Wales in Australia, graduating with honours, and was an active volunteer with the Law Students' Legal Advice Program and the Australian Aboriginal Legal Service during his studies. He earned his LLB (Honours) and BA in International Development from the University of New South Wales in 2021 and his LLM from UBC in 2023, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2025.
