About John

John H. Shevchuk was admitted to the practice of law in British Columbia in 1984 and formed his own litigation boutique in 1994, adopting the name Lex Pacifica Law Corporation in 2002; he transitioned to Associate Counsel there in 2020. His counsel work focuses on real property assessment and taxation, expropriation, construction, and other real-property litigation, and as a Chartered Arbitrator since 1989 he provides arbitral services in commercial lease, property purchase tax, and construction disputes. He has served on the Appraisal Institute of Canada's Appeal Sub-Committee since 2007, was awarded the AACI (Hon.) designation by the Institute in 2012, and is an instructor for ADRBC arbitrator training courses.
