About Lara
Lara Koerner-Yeo is a Senior Associate at JFK Law's Toronto office, working on Indigenous laws and governance, Aboriginal and Treaty rights litigation, and constitutional and public law matters with a focus on equality rights. She has appeared before every level of court in Ontario and the Federal Court of Appeal, and has a background in international human rights law focused on UNDRIP and CEDAW. Lara was a Steering Committee member of the Canadian Feminist Alliance for International Action from 2015 to 2021 and contributed to Human Rights Watch reports on policing and violence against Indigenous women. She holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto (2017) and a Master's from SciencesPo Paris (2013), and has been a member of the Law Society of Ontario since 2018.
