About Thomas

Thomas is a lawyer and registered patent and trademark agent who helps clients secure patent protection in Canada, the United States and abroad. He started articling with Riches, McKenzie & Herbert LLP in 2011 and was called to the Bar of Ontario the following year. He passed the patent agent qualifying exams in 2014 and won the Marie F. Morency Memorial Prize for the top national score on the patent drafting paper. He studied law at the University of Toronto, receiving a prize for his standing in intellectual property courses, and before that graduated with distinction from Mount Allison University. He belongs to the Law Society of Ontario, the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
