About Tessie
Tessie Kalogeras has practised insurance litigation since being called to the Ontario bar in 2008. As a partner in Beard Winter's Insurance Litigation group, she mainly defends first and third party insurance claims, disputes between insurers, occupiers' liability matters and property damage disputes. She has conducted numerous arbitrations and argued contested motions, including summary judgment applications, and appears regularly before the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and tribunals such as FSCO, the License Appeal Tribunal and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. Tessie holds a law degree from the University of Windsor and earlier degrees from the University of Toronto and York University. She sits with the Women's Caucus of the Canadian Defence Lawyers, volunteers with Pro-Bono Law Ontario, and is fluent in Greek.
