About Sze-Mei

Sze-Mei Yeung leads Richards Buell Sutton's Intellectual Property Practice Group, specializing in technology, intellectual property, business acquisitions, and corporate-commercial law, including e-commerce compliance, cloud-based and master services agreements, and licensing and technology transfer matters. She previously served as in-house counsel at a publicly-listed communications company and provides legal services through her own law corporation. She chairs the firm's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and was a board member of Vancouver Coastal Health Authority from 2015 to 2017. She holds an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia (1998) and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry (First Class Honours) from Queen's University (1995), and was called to the bar in 1999. She was recognized by Best Lawyers for Technology Law (2020-2026) and Intellectual Property Law (2021-2026).
