About Susan
Susan Guzzo was called to the Ontario bar in February 2002 after completing her law degree at Queen's University, having earlier studied history, political science, and government at the University of Toronto and at Harvard. Before law school she spent about a decade in financial services, moving from retail banking into retirement investment portfolios, and was regularly consulted on policy manuals and early pay equity initiatives in the industry. She now advises and represents both employers and employees on a wide range of employment matters, including wrongful dismissal litigation, hiring strategy, performance management, discipline, terminations, severance, and employment agreement drafting. Her practice also covers policy development, employment standards compliance, constructive dismissal, and human rights complaints such as harassment and discrimination. She has appeared before trial and appellate courts across Ontario, including the Supreme Court of Canada, drawing on more than 20 years of litigation experience.
