Steve Hutchison, K.C., is a partner at Stewart McKelvey's Saint John office, working as a civil litigator and insolvency specialist. He has acted as counsel to stakeholders in numerous insolvency proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, and regularly advises Canada's leading life and disability insurers. His experience includes acting for government and industry in a multi-million dollar bid-rigging and price-fixing lawsuit, defending product liability claims against a global fibreglass products manufacturer, and defending wrongful dismissal and dealer termination claims for major industry clients. Steve earned his LLB from the University of New Brunswick in 1983 and a BA from the same university in 1980. He was called to the New Brunswick bar in 1984, named King's Counsel in 2016, and has led Stewart McKelvey's Commercial Litigation and Insolvency practice group since 2012.
