About Claire

Claire Dowden is an associate in Cox & Palmer's St. John's office, building a practice in labour and employment law, insurance litigation, administrative law and human rights law. She articled with the firm and was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in June 2024. Claire earned her JD from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2023, after a Bachelor of Arts at Memorial University where she received the University Gold Medal and the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence. During law school she served as Vice President of Student Life on the Dalhousie Law Students' Society.
