Steve Carey is a Partner at Maurice Law who focuses his practice on Specific Claims work for First Nations across Canada. He represents clients in negotiations with the federal government and in proceedings before the Specific Claims Tribunal, applying a detailed understanding of historical grievances, treaty rights, and the legal mechanisms available to address breaches of the Crown's fiduciary and legal obligations.
