About Stephen
Stephen Antwine is a Partner in the Philadelphia office of Green and Spiegel's U.S. practice, where he has practiced immigration law exclusively for more than twelve years. He manages the firm's immigration-based federal litigation practice, challenging H-1B denials, work authorization and green card delays, and long-delayed consular visa cases. As lead counsel in India House v. McAleenan, he successfully argued that USCIS had acted arbitrarily in denying an H-1B petition and obtained a written decision reversing the denial. Stephen also represents clients in removal proceedings, having litigated hundreds of asylum and cancellation of removal cases, including successful claims involving female genital mutilation, gender-based violence, and religious and political persecution. He maintains an active appellate practice before the Board of Immigration Appeals and assists clients with USCIS and Department of State processes. He earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2006 and served in the Peace Corps in Kazakhstan. He speaks Russian and Spanish.
