About Stacy
Stacy Petriuk, KC was the Managing Partner of JSS Barristers from 2015 to early 2018 and joined the firm as its first associate over 25 years ago. Her practice focuses on civil, corporate, and commercial litigation, including professional negligence, class actions, and insolvency, and she has appeared at every level of the Alberta courts. Stacy served as an elected Bencher of the Law Society of Alberta from 2018 to 2026 and is its current President, having chaired several of its committees including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and Conduct. She earned her BA in political studies from Queen's University, her law degree from the University of Calgary in 1996 (winning the school's silver medal), and a Master of Law from the University of Cambridge, where she held the Viscount Bennett Scholarship. Called to the Alberta bar in 1997, Stacy received her Queen's Counsel designation in 2020 and has been named a Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation and recognized for Legal Malpractice Law by Best Lawyers, including Lawyer of the Year in 2026.
