About Sophie
Sophie Poinar joined Branch MacMaster LLP in 2025 as an associate, focusing on insurance, health law, and class actions. Before joining the firm, she articled with the City of Hamilton, gaining experience in municipal matters. At Western University's Faculty of Law, Sophie was active with the Community Legal Services Clinic and worked as a cross-disciplinary research assistant examining public advocacy approaches between medicine and law. She earned her JD from Western University Faculty of Law in 2024 and a B.ArtSci from McMaster University in 2020.
