About Sophia

Sophia's practice focuses on corporate governance, commercial law, and finance and securities. She has advised clients on compliance issues, prospectus offerings, continuous disclosure obligations and corporate agreements of varying complexity. Having previously worked as legal counsel at two securities commissions, she brings in-depth knowledge of securities laws and regulatory bodies, and developed an interest in cryptocurrencies, crowdfunding, startups and corporate governance. Before law school, Sophia worked in the oil and gas industry, and she has since practised in British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba before joining the firm in New Brunswick. She holds an LL.B. from the University of Calgary and serves as a director of The Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation.
