She has acted as coverage counsel in a class action against an automobile manufacturer and has represented commercial, property, and automobile insurers in personal injury and coverage matters. Her practice also includes defending claims brought by long-term disability insurers and representing hotels, landlords, retail stores, and other businesses against occupier's liability claims. Shelley earned her LLB from the University of New Brunswick in 1999 and a BA from Middlebury College in 1996. She was called to the New Brunswick bar in 2000 and the Nova Scotia bar in 2003, and speaks English and French. She holds the King's Counsel designation, awarded in 2025, and is recognized in Best Lawyers for insurance law and personal injury litigation.
