About Shereen Goncalves

Shereen Goncalves works with the organizations that build and run housing in and around London, Ontario. Clients include non-profit and affordable housing providers, along with developers and property managers, and Shereen acts for them as a lawyer in Cohen Highley's Multi-Residential Housing Group. London is Shereen's hometown, and getting more of the housing it needs built is what drives the work. Shereen finds real joy in seeing a client's plans turn into doors opening for new residents.

One result Shereen is proudest of is helping many of the non-profit housing clients Shereen works with obtain exemptions from property tax, which frees up resources for the people who live in their buildings. Shereen is committed to making complicated processes feel less intimidating for clients.

Shereen earned a Juris Doctor at Windsor Law in 2023. Working with the school's Centre for Cities, both as a research assistant and in its hands-on clinics, sparked an interest in municipal law and land use planning. Away from the office, Shereen likes family time, long walks, a good book and travel (cousins' trips above all), and has a real fondness for tracking down just the right home goods.
