About Sheilagh

Sheilagh Sparks has practised exclusively in family law for more than twenty years, advising on cohabitation and marriage agreements, separation and divorce, parenting agreements, and property division. A collaborative lawyer, she works to secure resolutions through negotiation but has also appeared before the Provincial and Supreme Courts and the BC Court of Appeal. She earned a BA in History from Queen's University and an LLB from the University of Ottawa in 1983, and was called to the bar in Ontario in 1985 and British Columbia in 1986. She provides pro bono services to the North Shore Women's Centre and has served on the Bowen Island Library and Conservancy boards.
