About Sheila

Sheila Gibb is a partner whose family law practice draws on earlier corporate law experience at a New York City firm, giving her a distinct perspective on complex business, trust, and family wealth issues. She drafts sophisticated marriage contracts and cohabitation agreements and pursues both negotiated settlements and litigation at all court levels. Sheila advocates for children in high-conflict matters and has particular expertise in inter-provincial and international jurisdiction issues, including child mobility, abduction, and the Hague Convention. She also acts as a parenting coordinator, mediator, or arbitrator for some families. Sheila served for six years as a Director and Executive Committee member of The Advocates' Society, including as Treasurer. She is admitted to the bars of Ontario and New York.
