About Aaron
Aaron Franks is a partner at Epstein Cole whose practice covers all areas of family law, along with the defence of solicitor's negligence claims. His background in business and finance informs his work on property division and cross-border issues, including child abduction cases. He has appeared as counsel at every level of court in Ontario, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and also works as a mediator and arbitrator. Aaron has taught family law as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School and has instructed in the Bar Admission Course. He sits on the editorial board of the Reports of Family Law and co-authors a weekly newsletter on family law developments. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1998 after earning his law degree from Osgoode Hall and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
